About Samia Halaby

Samia Halaby is a Palestinian artist, born in 1936, who is known for her abstract and geometric paintings. She has exhibited her work internationally and is considered a pioneer of abstract art in the Arab world. Halaby is also a scholar and writer, having published several books and articles on Palestinian art and politics. She currently lives and works in New York City.
